Lake Tahoe is Still Getting Snow!!!
That’s right! Despite warmer temperatures the past few weeks and the Spring season rapidly approaching, Lake Tahoe has still been experiencing those highly sought after powder days. In fact, just this past week the Lake Tahoe Basin was hit with a storm that brought two or three feet to some resorts. Then the following day was one of Lake Tahoe’s legendary beautiful blue bird days with the sun shining bright. Ideal conditions for perfecting that goggle tan.
A fast and cold system is bearing down on the region, with the potential to drop more than a foot of new snow at higher elevations. According to the National Weather Service in Reno, warm weather ahead of the storm will keep initial snow/rain levels higher — above 6,500 feet — but temperatures will plummet as the system from the Gulf of Alaska passes through.
Currently, the skies are turning gray and we are waiting with another snow packed storm to blanket us once again in the soft white stuff. If you don’t yet have plans this weekend I suggest heading up to Lake Tahoe to take in some natural beauty and epic skiing conditions.
