Did you know… that The American Pyrotechnics Association rates South Lake Tahoe’s spectacular Fourth of July fireworks celebration one of the Top 5 displays in the nation? And that the “Lights on the Lake” fireworks show is largest synchronized fireworks display west of the Mississippi?  Well now you do! Every year thousands of people flock to the crystal clear waters of Lake Tahoe to experience this amazing display of pyrotechnics.

The fourth of July is quickly approaching and we at Lake Tahoe are ready for the festivities! On Monday July 4^th the jaw-dropping “Lights on the Lake” will light up the sky and waters of Lake Tahoe.  The show is scheduled to start at 9:45 pm and will be synced and coordinated with local radio station 93.9 The Lake.

But the Fireworks are really just the icing on the cake to a fun filled day celebrating the independence of our nation on the beautiful waters of Lake Tahoe.  There are tons of spots to view the fireworks and many people make it a whole day of fun by spending the day at the beach with friends families and barbeques.   For some spots to spend the day lakefront and watch the fireworks, check out Kiva Beach, Pope Beach, Ski Runs Beach and Zephyr Cove.
