A message from Walter: "Having been a local in Lake Tahoe since 1976, I guess you can say I am an "old timer." Growing up out side of Cleveland, Ohio, the allure of California was always a dream or a calling which I finally achieved on a road trip with two college buddies in 1975. Having graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Photo Journalism, I packed up my Chevy van and headed West. With a desire to live in a ski town and spend a whole winter on the "hill" Lake Tahoe was the perfect choice. Here lies the problem , once you live in this beautiful area, breath the fresh air, behold the natural beauty you are hooked. You have to stay one more year, then another, then another well you just cannot leave.

Having secured a job at the Sahara Tahoe, it was time to own a piece of the Tahoe dream. I bought a lot and built my first home. This is how I got started in the Real Estate business. Having bought and sold numerous properties, I came to the realization that I could do the job my realtors were doing and do a heck of a better job. Real estate became my new career in 1989 and I have never regretted the move.

Having experienced the building moratorium of the 1980's, the growing pains of the 1990's, and the boom of 2000's I can truly say I have seen it all.

New construction is an area in which I excel. Having been buying and selling lots as my personal niche the most obvious extension was to get into building. Working with local contractors my ties to new construction is extensive. Having raised a family, coached ball teams, coached ski teams, hiked Desolation Wilderness, biked the Lake; the Tahoe experience has been part of my life for 30 years.
