Fall time is Food Fest Time in South Lake Tahoe

As soon as it starts to get cold in town, it seems as if all the food and wine festivals start to spring up locally. Sample the Sierra, Ocktoberfest, and now the Annual Fall Food Fest will be making its yearly appearance at Harrah’s Casino October 8^th.

The Lake Tahoe Educational Foundadtion provies support to Local kids year round.

The scrumptious event will take place from 6:30 to 10pm and will feature all local eateries and bistros.  This event is for adults only over the age of 21 because wineries and breweries will be on hand for you to sample some of the new fall beers and wines.  Plus it’s a Saturday night so why not find the kids (or fur children) a babysitter and have a night out on the town!

Tickets are just $35 before the events and $40 the day of the event. So save yourself the $5 and get your tickets early to this food aficionado’s dream. Tickets are available at all school sites, Education Center and Fox Gas Station or online through paypal. Perhaps the best part( besides the food being the obvious) is that all proceeds directly benefit the children of the community through The Lake Tahoe Education Foundation.  This local foundation has been striving to better the education of the South Lake Tahoe children since 1989.  During this time they have succeed in setting up numerous scholarships and after school enrichment programs for kids of all ages.

After school programs help kids develop life skills.

This event not only supports the Lake Tahoe Educational Foundation and all of its endeavors, but also the local restaurants!
