Early Summer Water Activities in Lake Tahoe

So Much to Do in South Lake Tahoe

Summer has finally arrived in South Lake Tahoe with warm temps and lots of flowing water. Now is the time to get out the rafts and kayaks and enjoy the melting snow pack.  There are so many options when it comes to fun in the water that it can be hard to chose!

Spending the day one of the region’s various rivers – like the Truckee River, Tahoe’s only outlet, the Upper Truckee (aka the Little Truckee), Lake Tahoe’s main tributary, the American River (flowing with lots of great whitewater for kayakers right now) or Lake Tahoe, and enjoying the scenery is one of the most peaceful ways to enjoy the day. Take your raft and plop it in the Upper Truckee River and float your way through gorgeous mountain meadows to the lake - or rent a canoe and paddle along the shores of beautiful Lake Tahoe taking in the scenery and magnificent architecture of the many lakefront real estate properties.
